Painting Candy Brain symbolises my thoughts in the brain. My brain works like rolling candy in the mouth. I pick up any ideas that I like and think about them all day until I cannot relate anything else to the topic. Fresh ideas and thoughts are sweet, sometimes too sour to make me inflame by only thinking about them, and leaves aftertaste to dive into new ideas. I chose a candy jar representing my brain, containing various thoughts and experiences I collected. Candy Brain is painted with close observation of colour and light. I was surprised to see that shadow has a colour. Fascinating blue shadow of candies are depicted in painting. Also expressing candies behind the glass was an interesting part of painting. Though glass is transparent, the lighting of candies inside and outside is different.
