The installation work was comprised of a cardboard box resting on the ground and leaning against the wall. The box's surface was painted with abstract marks resembling the surface of a mountain. It looks like the house I found underground. I illustrated the pattern and uneven surface on the cardboard box, where I found a mountain. In the centre of the box was a handmade piece of pulped paper that had a grid pattern painted on it. I observed them through cracks, and I painted strangers via wire, which means my gaze, and in the left part, both close and far away, are people who can’t settle down here and have to move out. In the right part, a mountain was cut in half due to the delayed construction. I combined and arranged my memory to layer in the work. I applied blending and watery brush strokes to spread them and layered them slowly to get a thin and translucent effect to depict my memory. I installed the work on the floor because I thought about my gaze when I saw them downward. I want to give a message to the general public not only varied perspectives but also transposition which means changing one’s position indicates that one could become socially weak as well as a foreigner in a certain environment.
